New Sheep, Goat, Swine Barn & Arena

GEORGIA NATIONAL FAIRGROUNDS & AGRI-CENTER, PERRY, GA - The Georgia National Fairgrounds & Agri-center currently occupies nearly 1,100 acres. The Agri-center contains 10 acres of exhibition space with five (5) arenas, exhibit halls, two (2) 480-stall horse barns, four (4) ponds, a carnival midway, and parking for 13,000 vehicles. In addition to the National Fair, hundreds of events are held annually at the facility.

Over the past few years, Georgia's public-school systems have taken steps to enhance the accessibility of competitive youth livestock activities. They've achieved this by offering county barns as spaces for housing livestock, particularly smaller animals like goats, sheep, and swine, which have experienced significant growth due to the relatively lower investment required. This surge in participation has highlighted the necessity for a new facility at the Georgia National Fairgrounds, which host the largest youth livestock shows in the state and among the largest in the country. The goal of this project is to meet the growing needs of the State of Georgia by constructing a new Sheep, Goat, Swine Barn and Show Arena.
